SURROUNDINGS
Heisdorf is part of the municipality of Steinsel and the canton of Luxembourg.
Château de Heisdorf is a former sei- gneurial residence, built in 1888 in the French Renaissance style. In 1916, the religious congregation of the Sisters of Christian Doctrine acquired the property as a convalescent home for their community. Today, the estate and its outbuildings are used as a retirement home for the sisters of the congregation and for the public.
The associated park was renovated after 1910, leaving the old trees standing. Two of them, a black pine and an oak, are counted among Luxembourg's \"remar- quable trees\" and are around 175 years old. There are three separate buildings in the park: the \"Haus Marie Consolatrice\", a retirement home; the \"Haus Nico Kremer\", a home for disabled people; and the Chalet Ginkgo, which has been hosting youth groups since 1980. At the southern end of the park is the ci- metière of the Sœurs de la Doctrine chrétienne de Nancy.
The communities of Steinsel and Walferdange offer a variety of restaurants, supermarkets and stores, as well as doctors' surgeries and pharmacies. The Walfer Shopping Centre contains a number of clothing stores and a large supermarket. The new Lorentzweiler inspection station for vehicle roadworthiness tests is just a 5-minute drive away.
PIDAL, the wellness center for the municipalities of Steinsel, Walferdingen and Lorentzweiler, is 1.4 km away and features a large swimming pool, sauna area, fitness area, wellness offers and restaurant.

BUILDING
The main façade features a pedestrian entrance and access to the shared garage. The residence comprises a basement, first floor and two upper floors. The basement contains private parking spaces, cellars, communal areas and other technical rooms. The upper floors and first floor are reserved for residential use or any other use permitted by the relevant by-laws.
