The Commune of Käerjeng is located in the south-west of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, on the Belgian border. The Commune of Käerjeng was created by the merger of the Communes of Bascharage and Clemency on 1 January 2012.

Hautcharage is crossed by the CR 110A and CR 111, rue de Bascharage and rue de la Gare respectively.
